Service Description:

Provides programs to Canada's military veterans to ensure disability pensions, veterans allowances, pension advocacy, health care and commemoration.

Provides support for the economic, social, mental and physical well-being of veterans, and their dependents
Services include the following:
- Disability Pensions/Awards
- War Veterans Allowance
- Counselling
- Rehabilitation Services
- Emergency Assistance
- Assistance with health care expenses such as glasses, medical travel costs, assistive technology
Veterans' Independence Program
- Provides financial assistance for home support services and institutional care

Eligibility / Target Population:

- Former and certain current members of the Canadian Forces
- Allied veterans who lived in Canada prior to periods of war
- Certain civilians with wartime service
- Former and certain serving members of the RCMP
- Dependants and survivors of the above groups
