Service Description:
|
Provides access to psychological and psychiatric services through video conferencing- Coordinates with Surrey Place Centre in Toronto through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) to provide various clinical supports from a team consisting of a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse, psychologist, behaviour therapists, a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist
- Provides education, information, diagnoses, advice and referrals for medical issues
- Eliminates the need to travel long distances to access psychological and psychiatric services
- Video conferencing is also used for staff training and educational seminars
