Stroke - North West

Services that provide support, or treatment and rehabilitation, for people who have suffered a stroke because blood flow was stopped or restricted to a part of their brain. Signs of a stroke can include: sudden weakness, numbness or tingling, sudden trouble speaking or understanding speech, sudden vision problems, sudden severe headache, sudden dizziness or loss of balance. Stroke is a medical emergency, call 911. Acting quickly can improve your survival and recovery.

COVID-19 Testing Locations

Anyone who needs a test can get one and does not need an OHIP card. Tests are available by appointment only at assessment centres and at pharmacies.

You will continue to have access to the care you need and the health care providers you have built relationships with. Home care continues as before and there are no changes to long-term care home placement.
