Service Description:

A rural health care organization that includes the Atikokan General Hospital, Atikokan Family Health Team and Atikokan Community Counselling to provide a range of health care and community services to residents in the Town of Atikokan and surrounding areas in the Rainy River District
NOTE: Do not call the Atikokan General Hospital Emergency Department seeking medical advice. Due to legal reasons the emergency department staff are unable to provide advice or information over the telephone
Offers a 6-week education and exercise program for people with knee and hip osteoarthritis (OA) delivered by a certified therapist- Teaches participants the right way to move to reduce OA symptoms, reduce pain, take fewer amounts of pain medication and allow for increased physical activity and quality of life
