Service Description: Strives to empower Indigenous women, youth and families to end the cycle of family violence by providing support services, and enhancing their skills and knowledge in areas of wellness

  • Strives to end the cycle of family violence by providing programs and support services in health and wellness for Indigenous women, youth and families
  • Provides workshops and gatherings to raise awareness of violence and hosts many guest speakers on topics related to women's issues
  • Provides resource material on issues such as wellness, healthy parenting, understanding the needs of children, and prevention of family violence
  • Hosts craft nights, painting events and various online contests
  • Supplies a computer lab with latest software programs and Internet for individuals to update resumes, complete applications and perform job searches

    Eligibility / Target Population: Indigenous women who reside within the 31 First Nation communities in the Sioux Lookout District Zone
