Service Description:

Administers programs and services focused on improving the quality of life for Indigenous people living in an urban environment
Provides community-based, culturally appropriate services to urban Indigenous elderly, physically disabled or chronically ill individuals to promote independent living and an improved quality of life Indigenous Support Provides clients with:- information and referral services
- advocacy translations
- assistance with filling out forms and applications
- assistance with accessing services from mainstream organizations
- Provides transportation on an as needed basis to events at the Centre, appointments at the hospital or clinic and for errands around town including grocery shopping
Congregate Dining- Organizes a twice-monthly luncheon
- Provides story telling, activities and refreshments for program participants
- Provides transportation for attendees
Friendly Visiting Arranges visits from support worker in individual's home or long term care facility Security Checks Provides isolated individuals with regular contact (by telephone or in-person visit) to determine that the client is not in crisis
