Offers services, products, and information that remove barriers to communication, advance hearing health, and promote equity for people who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing
Provides American Sign Language (ASL) - English interpretation services across OntarioProvides la langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) - French interpretation services in Ottawa and SudburyOffers on-site or video remote interpreting (VRI) servicesOffers pre-booked daytime and emergency interpretation servicesWill provide interpreters for various situations, including:- Job interviews
- Medical appointments
- Business meeting
- Giving evidence in court
- Arranging a mortgage
- In crisis in a hospital, shelter, or police station

Application:

- Appointments are to be made through the OIS Scheduling Centre in Ottawa
- Requests may be made by TTY, phone, email, and Skype
- Pre-booked requires a minimum notice of 3 business days

- Emergency Interpretation Services: Individuals who are faced with sudden, unforeseen crises that requires immediate attention
