Service Description: Offers public library services

Operates a community public library and loans out various items including the following:
  • Books, magazines, and audiovisual material (DVDs, CDs, audio books), CNIB Talking Books for the Blind, local history scrapbooks, periodicals, free downloadable ebooks and audiobooks, computer databases
  • Playaway View and Playaway products, Birding Buddies and bird-watching kits
  • Material available through inter library loan
Provides a wide variety of programs and services:
  • Faxing, laminating, photocopying, scanning and printing of documents
  • Internet and wireless access
  • Information service
  • Reference, research and reader's advisory help
  • Home delivery for shut-ins (where volunteer resources permit)
Offers a variety of age appropriate programs and services. Call for more information on programs and services available. Examples include:
  • Computer classes
  • Homework help
  • Literacy programs
  • Parent and child drop in program
  • Pre-school storytime
  • Summer reading programs

Fees: Service fees for Faxing, laminating, photocopying and printing; Non resident membership fees apply; None - Loan of books and other material
Application: Call or visit the library for membership information
Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Membership required to borrow items; free to residents and taxpayers of service area

  • Children under 16 years of age must have parent/guardian co-sign membership

  • Reciprocal borrowing with Emo Township, Big Grassy River First Nation, Fort Frances, Atikokan and Baudette, Minnesota libraries
