Service Description:
  • Assists members with Native membership and registration forms and processes
  • Maintains membership records for Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation
  • Provides information about current and evolving Indian status changes and issues
  • Acts as a liaison to the Indian Registrar of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC)

  • May provide assistance in the following matters:
    • Birth certificates and related documents
    • Death certificates
    • Indian registration
    • Marriage licenses and certificates
    • Status card renewals

    • Requires booked appointments for issuance of Certificate of Indian Status cards
    • Contact Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) at 807-623-3534 for information on the Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS)
