  • Provides Administrative Support Services to the Program Manager and staff in the District of Thunder Bay

  • Construction Health and Safety
    • Conducts inspections and monitors the Occupational Health and Safety Act for construction projects (buildings, bridges, etc)

    Industrial Health and Safety
    • Conducts inspections and monitors the Occupational Health and Safety Act for industrial establishments (factories, shops, offices and logging operations)

    Thunder Bay Mining Health and Safety Program
    • Conducts inspections and monitors the Occupational Health and Safety Act for mining properties (gravel pits, quarries, etc.)

    Employment Standards Program
    • Enforces the Employment Standards Act and its regulations
    • Provides information and education to employers and employees, making it easier for people to understand and comply voluntarily
    • Investigates possible violations
    • Resolves complaints
