Band Office - Community is 180 km N of Red Lake on NE shore of Deer Lake

  • Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation
  • Offers one main Northern Store, three private gas stations, J & D Trading and a few small privately-run businesses
  • Operates a Canada Post postal service
  • Operates a small airport maintained and serviced by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and served by Wasaya Airways
  • Provides air ambulance services as needed
  • Offers the local Ennis Memorial TV & Radio Station used daily to share community news
  • Co-owns a small run-of-the-river hydro generating station on the Severn River with Hydro One
