Service Description: Charleson Recreation Area is an area of recreational opportunities for summer or winter; if you prefer your activities motorized or not or maybe even a mix of both, there is something to attract every outdoor activity enthusiast

Located on the northern edge of Atikokan, ON.

  • Provides a multi use recreational area
  • Hosts various annual community events including 4x4 mudslinger races and motocross races
  • Invites local food vendors to sell foodstuffs at the events
  • Operates a beer garden during some of the events
  • Allows large groups to use the area for camping including the "Ride For Sight" motorcycle tour

  • Provides access to recreational areas suitable for:
    • Canoeing
    • Hiking
    • Horseback riding
    • Motocross
    • Mountain biking
    • Off-roading
    • Snowmobiling

    Fees: Admission - Applies only during scheduled events * None - All recreational areas are available for public use except during annual events
