About Our Region



Geographically, the North West CCAC covers a large area, with a highly dispersed population.

Land mass extends from White River in the East to the Manitoba border in the West, to James Bay and Hudson Bay in the North and to the United States border in the South. In total, this comprises 458,010 square kilometres – 47% of the Province of Ontario.

Based on 2011 Census data, our area population is 224,034; the number of clients served was 12,793 and the number of Long-Term Care placements was 679.
